AT Protocol has no country field, so we cannot count directly. We measure posting activity per language across Europe, weight each language to the countries where its speakers live, and calibrate the whole model to the Dutch figure on atproto.nl. Language only feeds the estimate; it never confirms that an account belongs to Netherlands.
